Sometimes a video is worth keeping close. It may be a recipe you want to try, a family moment you have permission to save, or a helpful tutorial you want to watch again.
Start with the video link
Open the public video on Facebook. Tap Share and choose Copy link. Return to this page and paste the link in the box. Select the button to check the available video options.
Choose and save
Pick a quality that suits your device. A higher quality file can take more time and space. Once processing is complete, save the file to your phone or computer and check that it plays.
A thoughtful reminder
Only save and share videos when you have permission. Private, deleted or restricted posts may not be available. If a link does not work, try the original public post rather than a copied page address.
